With the support of its CSR partners, United Way of Baroda has implemented a diverse portfolio of livelihood and skill development initiatives aimed at creating dignified and sustainable futures for underserved communities.
Key interventions include structured plumbing skill development programmes for inmates at Vadodara Central Jail to support rehabilitation and reintegration into society; advanced tailoring training for rural women to enhance employability, income generation, and opportunities for micro-entrepreneurship; and livelihood-focused capacity-building programmes for women from marginalized communities to strengthen financial independence and self-reliance.
Youth empowerment has been further advanced through defence services preparatory programmes in rural areas, combining physical fitness, discipline, leadership, and resilience-building to prepare aspiring candidates for careers in the armed forces and police services.
Complementing these skill development efforts, United Way of Baroda has also supported essential community infrastructure, including the construction of hygienic sanitation facilities in schools, creating safer and more enabling environments for education and well-being.
Together, these initiatives reflect a long-term commitment to strengthening livelihoods, promoting social inclusion, and creating opportunities that extend beyond immediate assistance to lasting community transformation.
