Stree Vahini Project

Empowering women begins with creating opportunities that foster independence, dignity, and long-term financial security. With this vision, United Way of Baroda launched the Stree Vahini Project, an initiative aimed at enabling women to achieve sustainable livelihoods through self-employment and economic empowerment.

As part of the project, United Way of Baroda inaugurated 10 Pink Auto Rickshaws, providing financial assistance of ₹1 lakh each to 10 women to purchase their own vehicles. This support has enabled the beneficiaries to establish a reliable source of income, strengthen their financial independence, and build a better future for themselves and their families.

Beyond providing financial assistance, the Stree Vahini Project symbolizes confidence, resilience, and equal opportunity. By enabling women to become entrepreneurs and active contributors to the local economy, the initiative challenges traditional barriers and promotes greater participation of women in the workforce.

Through the Stree Vahini Project, United Way of Baroda continues to drive inclusive development by empowering women with sustainable livelihood opportunities, ensuring they not only steer their vehicles but also take charge of their aspirations, independence, and future with confidence and dignity.
