The Fusion Study Foundation (FSF) program is a flagship initiative by United Way of Baroda (UWB) in partnership with the Stichting Fusion Study Foundation (Netherlands). Established in 2005, this pioneering program provides interest-free educational loans to talented yet underprivileged students across Gujarat, empowering them to pursue higher education in fields like engineering, medicine, commerce, and other professional disciplines.
Despite the rapid growth of educational institutions in Gujarat, financial barriers remain a significant hurdle for many deserving students. FSF bridges this gap by covering essential expenses, including tuition fees, coaching, accommodation, and study-related costs, helping students achieve their academic aspirations without the burden of debt.
Starting with the generous support of the Van der Wijk family and initial funding from FSF, the program has grown exponentially. What began with support for three students has now impacted over 1,200 students, thanks to additional backing from UWB’s resources and partnerships.
The sustainable, interest-free loan model enables students to focus on their studies while securing successful careers. Once financially stable, these beneficiaries contribute back to the fund, creating a self-sustaining cycle of educational support that uplifts future generations.
Since 2008, the biannual Get Together event in Vadodara has served as a platform for students, alumni, funders, and UWB trustees to connect and collaborate. This all-day event fosters mentorship, as juniors gain valuable insights from seniors, building a strong and supportive community.
By nurturing talent and breaking financial barriers, the Fusion Study Foundation continues to transform lives and foster a brighter future for Gujarat.
