Established over three decades ago, United Way of Baroda is the pioneering chapter of United Way Worldwide in India. As part of a global movement operating in 40+ countries and 1,800 communities, we contribute to transforming over 61 million lives each year. Rooted in the principles of compassion, collaboration, and impact, we work tirelessly to uplift underprivileged communities through our core pillars of growth—Education, Health, Income Stability, Rural Development, Environment, and Social Inclusivity. Legally registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, United Way of Baroda is also registered with the Government of India’s NITI Aayog and authorized to receive foreign donations under FCRA. Contributions to our cause are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

In India, United Way has been making a difference for over 30 years through its national body and local chapters in Baroda, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Collectively impacting over 3,00,000 lives annually, the India network partners with 600+ NGOs and manages a diverse range of independent and collaborative projects. While each chapter operates autonomously under its own board and mandate, they remain united in their commitment to mobilizing community strength and sharing best practices, ensuring deep-rooted impact and sector-wide excellence.
