United Way of Baroda since its inception has been supporting Local Trusts and NGOs by joining hands with them in advancing the common goods. More than 100 Trusts and NGOs are affiliated with United Way of Baroda under our Community Impact Program.

Medical Care Center Trust

Upgraded PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) at Kashiba Children Hospital

Charutar Arogya Mandal

Financial Assistance for Medical Treatment

  • Provided financial assistance to 50 needy patients
  • Each patient received INR 30,000
  • Support offered for medical treatment at Shree Krishna Hospital

Adolescent Mental Health Initiative with VNM Foundation

‘Pahal: Behtar Kal Ki Ore’ was implemented with VNM Foundation to raise mental health awareness  among adolescents through sessions on emotions, art therapy, adolescence education, and safe  behavior. 

Akshay Patra Foundation

Donation of Vans for Mid-Day Meals in Government Schools

Akshay Patra Foundation has been working for nutrition of underprivileged students of Govt. Schools pan India. As to reach to the maximum vulnerable children to feed them with nutritional mid-day meals. United Way of Baroda has been supporting this Foundation through provision of food security vehicles to bring the nutritional food on time. UWB provided 9 vehicles through which freshly cooked food with good nutrition can be served to 30 NPSS Schools and 20 Anganwadis of Vadodara City.

This year 2 more vehicles costing INR 22,70,000 along with mid-day meal program support for 1000 children of INR 15,00,000 has been granted.

  • 786 Adolescent Girls covered across 10 schools
  • 10 Vending Machines Installed
  • 60 Awareness Sessions on Menstrual Hygiene
  • Comprehensive Health Check-up conducted

Hari Om Seva Trust

Financial Assistance for Orthopedic Surgery

  • 35 patients received support for Orthopedic Surgery at SSG Hospital.
  • Surgeries included the use of specialised orthopaedic appliances and implants.
  • Financial assistance ranged from ₹6,000 to ₹1,00,000 per patient.
  • Support ensured timely treatment, improved recovery, and better quality of life for
    underprivileged patients.

Community Science Centre

Vigyan Express

United Way of Baroda, in collaboration with Community Science Centre, launched Vigyan Express to bring hands-on STEM education to rural students in Savli Block. Through interactive activities, workshops, and competitions, the initiative fosters scientific curiosity and experiential learning

Bal Bhawan Society

To strengthen sports infrastructure, Lawn Tennis Court No. 1 was resurfaced, and the Open Baroda Basketball Tournament was sponsored, promoting physical fitness and competitive spirit among youth.

Supporting Special Children from Low-Income Groups

Since 2000, United Way of Baroda has been proudly partnering with Disha Charitable Trust to support the holistic development of special children from low-income families through:

  • Physical, Mental & Psychological Therapies
  • Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Medical Camps
  • Vocational Training for Women – including Beautician and Tailoring Courses

Annual Impact:

  • 45 Special Children receive continuous therapy and care
  • 160 Individuals benefit from free medical camps
  • 40 Women empowered through skill-based vocational training

Arpan Charitable Trust

Supporting Special Children through Vocational Training & Rehabilitation

Akshar Trust

Support for Sports Infrastructure and Activities

Providing support for quality coaching, infrastructure and equipment to children based in Sherkhi village since 1988.

Holistic Support for Leprosy-Affected Families with Shram Mandir Trust

United Way of Baroda supported nutrition and educational aid for families affected by leprosy,  focusing on dignity and long-term upliftment. 

Project Highlights: 

  • 200 nutritious meals provided 
  • 2 full scholarships for nursing students from leprosy-affected families 

Shalini Fellowship – Empowering Girls through Education

Through Udayan Care’s Shalini Fellowship Program, scholarships were awarded to 25 academically bright girls. The initiative also included counselling, workshops, health camps, and residential camps for holistic development.
