Banaskantha & Patan Flood Relief
Declared disaster-affected areas under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, these districts experienced severe flooding. UWB provided INR 21 Lakhs in financial aid to support relief and recovery efforts in the region.
A week after torrential rains leading to flood wreaked havoc in north Gujarat, state revenue department has declared Banaskantha and Patan districts as ‘disaster-affected areas’. These districts were declared as flood-affected areas as per the provisions of ‘Gujarat State Disaster Management Act of 2003. The decision to declare these two districts, which were hit the most by the flood, as ‘disaster affected’.
Our support was extended towards these two adversely affected districts where we provided financial support up to 21 Lakhs.
