Individuals while joining hands with UWB are meeting diverse range of people. They could dispel biases about different groups. Also, it has helped the individuals to recognise and respect “ways of being” that are not necessarily our own. This builds bridges of trust, respect and understanding across cultures.

UWB in alliance with L.M. Wind Power Celebrated World Environment Day under our Integrated Rural Development program through volunteering activity. The event was organised under the guidelines of COVID – 19 given by Gujarat Government at Chandrapura, Fatepuri, Khakadiya and Kanajari Halol. 14 corporate volunteers and UWB staff members came together for making 500 health and sanitation kit. The kit comprises of cotton cloth bag, five reusable masks, hand sanitizer and immunity booster Vitamin-C +Zinc tablets. 500 kits were distributed in the needy community of village along with the awareness regarding precautions to be taken during the pandemic.

United Way of Baroda in collaboration with LM Wind Power celebrated International Day of Rural Women by planting 100 trees and distributing 400 Household Waste Collection Bags in the Gayatrinagar area of Halol. The initiative was undertaken in order to promote tree planting activities and “Say No to Plastic”.

United Way of Baroda in collaboration with Rishabh Software organised a Volunteering event where more than 30 employees participated. The event involved blessings card making for the underprivileged students, Christmas tree decoration and poster making. The employees participated in the event with full enthusiasm and enjoyed thoroughly.

A Paper Bag making Workshop was organised under “SAY NO TO PLASTIC” Campaign which was initiated by UWB in association with L.M. Wind Power. This workshop was conducted to create awareness about the environment and promote clean and green cities and villages. More than 60 volunteers participated in this workshop to encourage the use of paper bags and cloth bags. Paper bags are renewable and cloth bags can be washed off and reused it again.

13 Team Members from CSR Partner L.M. Wind Power distributed Cloth Bags including hygiene essentials and dustbins sensitising more than 430 households of Gayatrinagar, Halol to promote proper health and hygiene and making their village a better place to live.

On World Water Day, Team of United Way of Baroda and CSR Partner L.M. Wind Power joined hands to volunteer for a common good. Team went for door-to-door distribution of PET Jars having capacity of storing 20 litres of water to the households of Gayatrinagar village, Halol Taluka, Panchmahal. Villagers were also sensitised about saving and proper usage of water to meet two major aspects, which is Health precautions and protecting Environment.

A seed ball making event was organised at Halol, Panchmahal wherein 80 team members from L.M. Wind Power participated in this event. 2300+ seed balls were thrown by the team at the nearby area of Halol so that to ease tree plantation.
