VISHNUBHAI AMIN ORPHAN AND DESTITUTE PROJECT

Primary Education… The Right of every Child

United Way Baroda (UWB) with the support from funds donated by Shri Vishnubhai Amin, a philanthropist, is providing educational and overall development support to orphans and destitute primary school children of Vadodara every year. The project has been undertaken since 2006 and implemented till date. Every year about 400-500 children are identified and supported.

4. Recreational activities undertaken
5. Health care and nutritional services provided

Kit Distribution program (2019)

United Way of Baroda has many projects related to education, one of the projects is  Vishnubhai Amin Orphan and Destitute Projects. In this project we provide educational kits to Government school Students and celebration of New Year with Government schools students of Vadodara.

Till 2019 we have given the educational kits to 7545 students of 104 schools of Vadodara under Vishnubhai Amin Orphan and Destitute.

There were 22 Items in the educational kits, this event held on 6th September 2019, the people who were presented in this event were Mr. Shivinder Singh Chawla, Dr. Binita Verdia Deputy Director of United Way of Baroda, and Mr. Dilipsinh Gohil Nagar Prathmik Shikshan Samiti Chairman.

 

New Year Celebration (2019)

Continuing the tradition of the United Way of Baroda of “Lets Spread Happiness”. A special New Year Celebration for orphan children under our Shri Vishnubhai Amin Orphan & Destitute Project was organized on 12th January 2020 at the Jumadada Yayam Mundir, with 52 children from 10 NPSS schools got the pleasure of receiving their gifts of their choices from the hands of the trustees and Deputy Director of UWB, and donor, Mrs. Bhavini Anil Patel. To add to this cake of celebration, the children enjoyed the Youth day celebration with Kite Flying and traditional food such as Undhiyu, Jalebi, and Chikki was served.
